The Backpack allows people from all over the world to save their favorite Idaho adventures into their own personalized account. Use it to help inspire new trip ideas, share them with family/friends, or simply to have in your pocket for a quick reference.
If you’re having any issues with the Backpack, please read below for troubleshooting information.
Login and Password
If you know your current password, you have the ability to change it. Login to your account first, then select Settings. Scroll down to Account Info and enter your new password.
When you create a new password, make sure it’s 6+ characters long and use a combination of numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters and punctuation marks to make it strong. Avoid including your name or common words, making sure your password is difficult to guess.
If you’re having trouble changing your password, contact us directly to troubleshoot the issue.
Your Profile and Settings
Your profile shows your name, email address and your interests. You can update your interests and personal information at anytime when you are logged into the Backpack.
Using The Backpack
The Backpack is a great tool for people who love everything Idaho. Save your favorite Things To Do, Places to Stay, Travel Tips and/or 360° Tours to your backpack for inspiration, or share your backpack with family and friends to get them excited about Idaho.
Adding/Removing Items From A Backpack
If you are logged into the Backpack, you will have the option to add/remove any item from your Backpack account. If you are not logged in, selecting “Add to Backpack” on any Things To Do, Places to Stay, Travel Tips, and/or 360° Tours will still be an option. If you select “Add to Backpack” and you are not logged in, the site will prompt you to sign up or login prior to adding the item to your account.
How to Keep Your Account Secure:
- Protect your password. Don’t use your password anywhere else online, and never share it with other people. Your password should be difficult to guess and you should avoid including your name or common words.
- Do not share your login information.
- Log out of the Backpack after each use.
- Watch out for malicious software and keep your web browser up to date and remove suspicious applications or browser add-ons.
- Never click suspicious links, even if they appear to come from a friend or a company you know. Visit Idaho will never ask you for your password in an email.
Deactivating or Deleting Your Account:
You can delete your Backpack account at any time, but you will not be able to restore it. Once you delete your Backpack account, you’ll no longer be able to save Things To Do, Travel Tips, Places to Stay and 360° Tours into a personalized account.
User’s must be logged in to deactivate/delete their account. Delete your account now
