The City of Rocks National Reserve is one of southern Idaho’s best backcountry adventures. The 14,407-acre reserve is situated at the south end of the Albion Mountains, and features towering granite pinnacles, fins, and domes. Climbers come from around the world to conquer routes ranging in difficulty from 5.0 (least difficult) to 5.13 (most difficult). The Reserve is also know for its hiking, mountain biking and bird watching opportunities.
Things To Know
- Hiking during the winter and early spring may be difficult if trails are saturated with rain or snow.
- During the summer remember to take plenty of water to keep hydrated.
- Don't forget a camera.
