Touted as “one of the best groomed snowmobile trail systems in the world,” Island Park is a snowmobiling destination like none other. With over 950 miles of groomed trails, Island Park offers a wide variety of snowmobiling styles, including boondocking, hill banging, and steep and deep.
Every snowmobile operated on private or public land must be registered with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation on or before November 1 of each year. Check the Idaho Parks and Recreation website listed under Resources for more information.
Follow the basic rules of snowmobiling: don't ride alone, wear protective equipment, bring adequate supplies, and don't drink alcohol.
Speed limit is 45 miles per hour.
