Touted as “one of the best groomed snowmobile trail systems in the world,” Island Park is a snowmobiling destination like none other. With over 950 miles of groomed trails, Island Park offers a wide variety of snowmobiling styles, including boondocking, hill banging, and steep and deep.

Things to Know

  • Every snowmobile operated on private or public land must be registered with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation on or before November 1 of each year. Check the Idaho Parks and Recreation website listed under Resources for more information.
  • Follow the basic rules of snowmobiling: don't ride alone, wear protective equipment, bring adequate supplies, and don't drink alcohol.
  • Speed limit is 45 miles per hour.
