Idaho’s restaurant business is booming, and with new and locally-owned restaurants opening by the day, it takes some serious showmanship to stand out from the crowd. So we’re taking a trip up north to Idaho’s panhandle in Coeur d’Alene to explore five incredible eateries that will satisfy your every craving. From Adventures in Deliciousness’ mouth-watering burgers to fire-roasted pies from Fire Artisan Pizza, these restaurants will surely leave you inspired and wanting more.

Drummin’ Up BBQ has barbecue that will leave barbecue experts drooling and begging for more. The average meal boasts perfectly smoked meats that are juicy and tender, side dishes that will leave your taste buds singing and legendary huckleberry lemonade. Every once in a while, life gives you something special to calm your nerves. In this case, it happens to be exquisitely flavored pork and heavenly lemonade.

2. Adventures in Deliciousness

These burgers are mind-numbingly good. Period. You know when you’re on vacation, and you hear about a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that only the locals know about? Adventures in Deliciousness is that restaurant. The burgers are fresh and cooked to order, the meat is seasoned perfectly and the sauces are so good that quite frankly, we can’t do them justice with our words. A must-go for any traveler passing through Coeur d’Alene.

Located on the 7th floor of the Coeur d’Alene Resort and specializing in Northwest cuisine, Beverly’s prepares every dish in a state-of-the-art display kitchen with the guidance of Chef de Cuisine and Jim Barette. Specials are offered every night, and let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed. Cutting-edge presentations separate Beverly’s as the go-to “special occasion” restaurant in the Coeur d’Alene area. So be sure to bring that special someone along for the trip—this place will earn you some brownie points.

4. Satay Bistro

Locals describe Satay Bistro as a “flavor bomb of excellence.” Its chefs have mastered the art of cooking, and it shows in every dish. From peanut chicken satays to cheese plates for the whole family, Satay Bistro has a little something for everyone. Sink your teeth into the savory Ahi Tuna tartar or order the Hibachi tenderloin cooked with roasted peppers and ponzu sauce.

Wood-fired pizza made-to-order. Yum! Fire Artisan Pizza specializes in finely crafted pies, and they are one of the few places you’ll find that offer truly fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. During your visit be sure to try the Camino, with roasted chicken breast, Kansas City bacon, red onion, aged white cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, chipotle barbecue sauce and fresh cilantro and habanero sea salt. Fire Artisan Pizza is the perfect restaurant for the kids and ideal for large families and parties. Make sure you swing in on a Monday or Tuesday for the “2 for 22” deal.
