The museum displays official black and white photos and miniature models that show what happened when the Teton Dam collapsed in 1976. An estimated 80 billion gallons of water scoured the city of Rexburg, killing nine people. A line on the wall of the museum shows the high water mark of the “unforgettable calamity.”
