National Park Service

Camp at two amazing campgrounds operated by the National Park Service in Idaho. Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve in central Idaho near Arco and City of Rocks National Reserve near Almo in southern Idaho both offer unique camping experiences for those looking to experience Idaho in a new way.

Bureau of Reclamation

The Bureau of Reclamation manages 20 campgrounds and recreation areas across Idaho. These sites include developed campsites, boat ramps, picnic areas, and other amenities.

Pack your bags and get ready for adventure on 12 million acres of public land in Idaho. These lands are managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and offer numerous opportunities for recreation and solitude as well as learning about science, culture, and history.

University of Idaho Arboretum and Botanical Gardens

This 45-acre collection is home to 2,500 kinds of plants.  Most of the plants are arranged in geographic regions depending on the plant's origin and include Asia, Europe, and Eastern and Western North America.  Several display gardens, including a xeriscape demonstration garden, butterfly garden and collections of iris, day lilies, heathers and annual flowers are located at the south end of the Arboretum. Prichard Art Gallery

Established in 1982, the Prichard Art Gallery is an outreach facility of the University of Idaho College of Art and Architecture. Located in downtown Moscow, the gallery is open year-round and presents a varied schedule of exhibitions focusing on contemporary visual arts.

Sandpoint Area

The Selkirk, Cabinet and Bitterroot mountain chains are all within a 30-minute drive from anywhere in the greater Sandpoint area, including Ponderay, Clark Fork and Hope. Five riding areas spread between three mountain ranges, 275 miles of groomed trails, a cozy warming hut and available snowmobile guided tour outfitters combine to make the greater Sandpoint region a "must do" for your next snowmobile outing. The Sandpoint Winter Riders, a well managed and engaged snowmobile club and members of the Idaho State Snowmobile Association, oversee grooming to remarkable areas like Pack River and Canuck Basin, and manage the warming facility at  Moose Lake while state-licensed outfitter, Selkirk Powder, guides snowmobile tours and provides grooming from atop Idaho's largest ski area.

The Activity Barn

The Activity Barn snow tubing hill is located just south of McCall and features six, 800-foot lanes with an 85 foot vertical drop. Each lane is sculpted into a mini-half pipe for maximum fun with runs designed to fit everyone’s comfort level.
