The City of Rocks National Reserve is one of southern Idaho’s best backcountry adventures. The 14,407-acre reserve is situated at the southern end of the Albion Mountains and features towering granite pinnacles, fins and domes. Climbers come from around the world to conquer routes ranging in difficulty from 5.0 (easy) to 5.13 (very difficult). The reserve is also known for its hiking, mountain biking and bird watching opportunities along with snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. The City of Rocks is also designated as an International Dark Sky Park, meaning you’ll experience unbelievable night skies while visiting.
