Things To Know
Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, closed-toe shoes, a camera, snacks, and seasonal clothes. Layers of clothing, that can be adjusted to prevailing conditions, are best.
Be prepared for unexpected weather changes or medical emergencies, especially when recreating during the winter or in the backcountry.
Before you leave, notify a responsible person of your planned route of travel, and time of departure and return. Be sure to check in with that person when you return.
