The Ashton-Tetonia Trail extends nearly 30 miles between the towns of Ashton and Tetonia, Idaho. The trail occupies an abandoned rail spur once operated by Union Pacific (the Oregon Short Line). The trail includes five bridges and restored rail trestles. The gravel trail is managed by Idaho Parks and Recreation and is open to snowmobiles in winter when snow trail grooming is possible.
Things To Know
The trail begins in Ashton and ends in Tetonia with access points at Ashton, Marysville, Bitch Creek, Felt and Tetonia.
Information kiosks are located at Marysville and Bitch Creek.
When using the trail make sure to bring water, a day pack, snacks, a first aid kit and a camera to capture all the beautiful scenery.
